This is the perfect toy for that toddler in your life that you want to get started in Star Wars before they are old enough for the action figures! My nephew (now 2 1/2) has loved these (with supervision) since he was almost 2..they have soft edges and any figure with a "weapon" is close to the body of the figure.

This set is a great pack. Obi-Wan and Darth Vader can battle and even force battle. Darth Vader has a light red lightsaber and can twist his hand. Both figures are highly detailed and stand out perfectly. Star Wars Galactic Heroes are such an amazement. Both figures remind me about Star Wars Episode IV A NEW HOPE. I bought mine at Toys 'R' Us. They are very high quality. Obi-Wan Vs. Lord Vader wow what an out standing fight absolutly mind blowing. Even though these figures are small and make a little bunch they are still great and wonderful toys.

The Galactic Heroes line is absolutely fabulous. The only complaint that I have is that they don't have an Endor Leia with Wicket Ewok (are you listening Lucasfilm merchandising) and they really need a Custom TIE fighter with Darth Vader to complete the triumverate of GH vehicles.
I love the Obi Wan & Darth Vader set, I got it for my nephews (6 and 9) for holiday and they absolutely love them. I got them all the "old school" GH fighures except Lando and Skiff guard (sooo hard to find).
Yes, Vader has red eyes in this set, but go back and view ANH again. Vader has red eyes! I love that little touch giving props to the 1st movie that made it all come to life. Vader is pointing as if to say "Appology accepted" or "Don't fail me again" and the hand swivels for you to pose. His helment seems to frown, being mean and friendly at the same time. This is intended for the littlest SW fans. Even the cloth cape is sturdy and adds to the swooshing force effects kids make up.
Obi-Wan is quite nice and a great addition. A nice look to his figure and he is fun to throw into the mix. My daughter likes to make up scenes from the movies with her GH figures. Maybe someone will make a short stop action film from GH figures for the next SW film festival...

Very few of the Galactic Heroes sets make obvious sense. Bossk and 4LOM. IG-88 and Zuckuss. Chewbacca and a Clone Trooper. Luke and one of the pig guards. But this set is one of the more obvious choices. You've got two of the biggest names in Star Wars history going at it in one cool package here: Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader. Darth Vader, while not nearly as strong as he was when he was 100% human, is still a force you don't want to bump into. That menacing helmet, the dark armor, and the blood red lightsaber. It's easy to see why he was so hyped up when A New Hope first came out. And then you've got Obi-Wan Kenobi, easily the coolest of the Jedi. Sure, you can defend Yoda all you want, but did Yoda ever lop off 3 limbs with one swipe of his lightsaber while fighting in what was basically a volcano for a planet? I didn't think so. And this set has some of the finest detail you'll find in the Galactic Heroes line of figures. I regret waiting to buy these guys as one of my first sets.
I'll get the easiest one out of the way first: Obi-Wan Kenobi is a pretty boring figure here. Most of the GH sets are composed of one figure that you can pose, and another that you can't. Obi-Wan got the short end of the stick in this case, but at least he's in a cool pose to be stuck in. Determination in his eyes and his lightsaber ready to take on his greatest rival, you don't get any cooler than that (unless you're Asajj Ventres or Oola that is). And the detail on this figure is amazing. From the creases in his robe(s) to his rugged beard to the eyebrows that were painted on. I don't care how bad that makes me sound, but after being disappointed to death by the Yoda and Palpatine set, this was a huge change for the better. Obi-Wan's also one of the less exaggerated figures, meaning his hands don't reach obscure Chewbacca-status. Vader though, is the opposite. He's stretched out both vertically and horizontally, making him second only to Chewbacca size-wise. His lightsaber is also the longest of any of the other GH figures', and he sports a cool cloth cape. A nice touch is the addition of his extra robe on his back. We see it in The Empire Strikes Back, and it gives him a bit of a samurai look, making him even cooler. Two cons though, are that his eyes are painted red, but only slightly. It almost makes them look brown, as the painters didn't go all the way through on this decision. Also, his left hand is stuck in a weird #1 pose. He's just kind of pointing. If you're perverted like me, you can use this with the Chewbacca figure for some extra hilarity. Also, Vader has his name printed on the bottom of his boot, making him one of two GH figures that has this (that I've seen anyway). Regardless, he towers over Obi-Wan, and yet Kenobi looks like he'll hold his own with no problem.
You owe it to yourself to get this set. Forget the age demographic, as this set kicks Ewok-ass.

I am a HUGE Star Wars fan from way back, so I actually bought some of these figures when I saw them at Target for my own collection. However, my 3 year old son is starting to become interested in Star Wars, so I also bought some for him. He hasn't gotten them yet since they are for Christmas, but I think he'll love them. The Darth has really large red eyes, so he might be a little scarey for younger kids. Both figures are in the animation style of the Clone Wars cartoons with large eyes and cartoon-like body proportions and they stand sort of in a funny squat. I wish Target had had more when I bought this one for my son, so I could have one for myself!
