The real Odd Couple. November 12, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Who knew a super strong lizard-man bounty hunter that skinned and ate Chewbacca's dad would be paired up with the Droid partner of Zuckuss? Not me, which led to some wonder on who decides on the pairings for the Galactic Heroes line up. But, like I mentioned in my review of IG-88 and Zuckuss, regardless of these toys being aimed at the 3-8 year old crowd, they're still cool, and I really doubt any toddler is going to know who the hell these guys are. Especially given their 20 seconds (or less) screentime in Empire.
Bossk here is surprisingly detailed- from his scales to the pannels/patches on his sleeves. And the paint job was better than I expected as well. Only his left arm is able to move, and it holds a blaster rifle (SW geeks, please refrain from correcting me on the exact model of his gun. I don't think kids/parents care that he sports a Rebley v-10 Micro Grenade Launcher). But hey, at least something on him moves. 4-LOM on the other hand, is stuck in place, just like his buddy Zuckuss. But of the two here, I'd have to give 4-LOM the title of "Favorite" between the two. He just looks cooler. Kind of like an angry bee robot. Lommy, as I call him as of now, sports a gun that's slightly taller than he is. The people who made him did a great job on his legs in particular. Normally, a figure like this would have the gap between them be painted white or something, but his legs are sticking together, and there's no visible gap.
...I just realized how much of a big deal I'm making over this.
Either way, these toys are great for the price you're paying. I'd look for 'em right away- as you can tell by this page, Amazon's out of them. So I'm guessing they're no longer being made.
